Guests can NO LONGER post.

Since today is our 3rd Anniversary on the board - we're going to try an experiment.  

We'd like to reward those who visit but are not yet members by opening up posting capabilities to guests in certain areas of the board.

Of course we'd rather you register and become a member, but if the posts:

* Can be kept civil
* Not taken advantage of by spammers and
* Follow our posting rules

  We welcome you participate!

   Well - our "test" so far has resulted in no guests commenting other than the spamming stuff I'm having to delete every day like this:

It's a shame people have nothing better to do than spend their time posting useless junk and links to places that are likely non-existent or will put a nasty virus or tracking cookie on your system.

   I probably don't have to tell you all this - but ignore the gobbly-goop and I'll delete them as quickly as possible.



FYI: When I get these posts on the board, I'm banning the IP they came from....so hopefully it will keep some of it at bay.

RENAMED the Topic:   Guests Can NO LONGER post.

The "experiment" is now over.  

After spending the last while having to open and delete 67 threads and deleting the SPAM posts inside them,  I've now removed the ability for guests to post.

I was only away for a few hours today and each day it gets worse and worse.

I'm sorry, but I simply don't have time to babysit the board like it appears I'd have to do in order to let guests post.  


I hate it for the visitors that may have considered jumping in with us and participating will now be prohibited from doing so without joining.

You'll now have to become a member if you want to post and/or reply.
